As it stands, a lot of work has been completed recreating the physical environment and terrain. Recently, the Skywind team released a video titled The Making of Skywind to showcase the amazing progress made so far in the game. When finished, Skywind promises to be as immersive as Skyrim, and truly will be the most ambitious modding project ever completed. In addition, voice actors are busy recording over 30,000 lines of unique dialog (the original Morrowind was never truly voice acted), and over 600 quests are being implemented into the game. Everything is being rebuilt from the ground up.īrand new music is being composed true to the original score, as well as custom made models of creatures and armor. This project isn’t simply the porting an older game into a new game engine - Skywind is a rebirth of sorts, with updated meshes, textures, scenery and regions. With Skywind, great progress is being made in recreating the world of Morrowind for a new generation of gamers.
